Child:         Dennis Michael
Address:    Pittsburgh, PA

Unfortunately, my marriage faltered about 2 years ago, but I have a great son, Dennis, who just turned 6 this past summer.  Although he livees in Germany, I cherish the times he's with me.

I became a police officer for the city of Pittsburgh about 5 years ago.  It's quite a change from factory work, which I had been doing.  On this job, you see the worst of the worst, so I keep myself going by praying, raquetball and running.  I even took up mountain biking this year.

Reminders of Taiwan?  Going to Chinese restaurants.

Plans to go back?  I wish I could.

What would surprise us about you?  I'm a cop - believe it or now.

Just the same?  I guess you could say my mouth hasn't changed.

Other:  I honestly believe that Morrison and everyone there saved my life and gave me a positive change that I will always be thankful for.

Spouse:      Debie
Children:
   Dennis Michael
Address:    Singapore

My son Nathan is in 3rd grade.  My daughter Megan is in kindergarten.  M parents are still teaching at Morrison.  My brother Terry ('86) got his Ph.D. in computer science and is the head of the department at Quachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  He and his wife Becky just had their first child, Graham, last month.

My wife and I are serving on the Global Resource Team for the International Mission Board.  I do training for missionaries who want to serve as Strategy Coordinators or to serve as catalysts for Church Planting Movements.  We have a training center in Singapore where I teach for four months each year.  Debie handles childcare during that time.  Much of the rest of the year I am traveling to every continent except antarctica conducting training.  Debie holds down the fort in Singapore while I'm gone.  We train people from a wide variety of agencies and nationalities but the training is usually done in English (though occashionally through translators).  We don't ahve much time for hobbies, etc. I do try to run at least a couple of times each week and SCUBA dive when the chance arises.

What in my day-to-day life reminds me most of Taiwan/Morrison?  Getting updates from my parents. They e-mail me once a week with news from Morrison.

Do I have plans to return to Taiwan?  No.  I was just there in July of this year as a conference speaker, however.

How have I changed most since high school?  I spend a lot of time typing and not much time exercising...the opposite  of high school!  I also wear glasses much of the time.

In what ways am I just the same?  I still drive a motorcycle.  I still read a lot.  I still like psorts even though I don't play often.

Comments:  The picture was taken in July.  It has my mother, and our whole family.  My father took the picture so isn't in it.
