Child's Scarf

Materials used:

Size I crochet hook

Three colors of your choice one skein each.  Colors used are:

color one: white
color two: green
color three: red

In parentheses are the counts for a smaller scarf for about a two year old

Row 1:  With color one Ch 141 (112)

Row 2:  Hdc in 3rd Ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, ch 2 turn

Row 3:  Hdc in each st across, at end change to color 2, Ch 2 and turn.

Row 4:  (Right side) With new color repeat row 3.  At end of row change to color 3, Ch1 turn.

Row 5:  With new color sc in 1st, * skip 1 hdc, sc in next hdc, sc in skipped hdc (cross sc completed), repeat from * across, end with sc in last st.  At end of row change to color 2, ch2 and turn.

Rows 6 - 9:  Repeat rows 4 and 5 twice

Row 10:  Repeat row 4, change to color 1 at end of row.

Row 11 - 12:  Repeat row 3 using color one for both rows.

Fasten off at end of row 12.

Finishing:  Add fringe to both ends using all three colors.  Trim to make sure fringe is all the same length.
