Does anyone have any information on members of the HENDRY family, of Conyers, Rockdale Co. who were involved(possibly foreman) with the Railroad crew who build the railroad east from Martha's Crossing. Another crew built from Aygusta to the north and west. The two crews met in "Union Point". My grandmother was a Hendry and both her family and my grandfather's family the GUILL's were railroad men. There is a GUILL forum at:http://www.genforum.com/guill/ Thanks kenn

Please note that I have a new email address. I am interested in the RODGERS/ROGERS family who moved to the area in the 1820s and attended the Smyrna Presbyterian Church. They intermarried with the Hollingsworth family. Nathaniel Rodgers married (2) Nancy Johnson. Seeking any info about her Johnson family who came from North Carolina.

I'm looking for African American Brown, and Talbots, from Social Circle, Walton Co., GA. My ggrandfather was Charlie Brown, my ggrandfather was Berry Brown (farmer) m. Hexie Talbot in Social Circle. They had 8 children, 4 were born in Social Circle: Broadus b. 1912, Flossie, Phulus (my grandmother), and Alberta. Thaddeus, Gartrell, Inez and Celeste were born in Cairo, Grady Co.(Decatur Co. at the time). Charlie had a part Cherokee African Native wife, Pia (?), and Hexie Talbot had a brother called "Doc" Talbot. They migrated to Cairo, GA. but their people are all from Social Circle and thereabouts. I don't know any of them and would appreciate any information on obtaining some, federal or state census. Are there directories for Social Circle and how far back do they go? Thank you in advance, G.M. Brown
