I am searching for the parents and siblings of Allen Smith. He was b. ca. 1814 GA (location unknown). He married Elizabeth J. McPeak 1835 in Newton Co., GA, daughter of William and Ailey Fisher McPeak. Allen and Elizabeth Smith lived in Newton Co., GA until their deaths aft. 1880 (except in 1860 when they are found in Henry Co., GA). They had the following children, all born in Newton Co., GA: Sarah Elizabeth Smith Granger b. 1837, William Smith b. 1839, James Henry Smith b. 1841, A. T. (Asbury Tyre) Smith b. 1846, Alford M. Smith b. 1849, Martha J. Smith b. 1853, Ailey A. Smith b. 1856. I have traced the first 4 children but can find no info on the last 3 children.

I am looking for Governor Reese who may have lived in Conyers or Covington in the late 1800s or early 1900's. Most likely it was the early 1900s. Thanks for any information you provide.

Solomon RAY died in 1813 Clarke Co., GA. Solomon RAY m. Jane ECHOLS in 1796 Wilkes Co.,GA. Executors of Solomon RAY were Jane Echols RAY and George RAY, believed to be Solomon's father. Jane ECHOLS RAY married 2nd to Tench FARROW and moved to Henry County. In 1820 the orphans (of Henry Co.)of Solomon RAY began to sell off his Clarke Co. land. Known children were: William RAY, Elijah RAY, Nancy RAY, Solomon RAY and John RAY. These sold 1/9 portions, as did Jane FARROW. Does anyone know the names of the other 3 heirs of Solomon RAY of Clarke County? Also, what happened to Jane ECHOLS RAY FARROW? Solomon is believed to be a brother to Rev. Samuel RAY who moved to Alabama by 1820. Any information on any of these RAY family members? Thanks
