HURST, LANE, MALCOM, MAYNE posted by Joan (JONI) Lane Sageser on Sunday, December 3, 2000: I'm looking for information on Matthew Phillip Lane married to Mary Marinda Hurst Dec. 1850 in Newton Co. Matthew was said to be from Morgan Co. and a Mathew was living with the Lewis Lane family in Jasper Co. at the time of the 1850 census. Matthew and Mary lived in Newton Co. until his death around 1868 then Mary moved to Walton Co. by 1870 and married George W. Malcom after his wife Sarah died around 1877. His parents were known as Grandpa and wife Mayne. We think his brothers were Lewis, William, and Allen. Any information would be wonderful!!!! Thanks for your time, JONI.
