No! I don't handle raw sewage, but I do handle raw edges...of fabric!! If you like to sew, be proud to call yourself a sewer. In my opinion the very best things come out of sewers!! (not to mention New York State!!)

My Scrapbook of Completed Quilts and Quilts in the Works...

Here are most of the quilts I have made, somewhat in the order in which I started them. The newest quilts are on top of the list. As soon as I get an idea for a quilt, I make a page for it in my "scrapbook", often with a computer "sketch" of my idea made in Electric Quilt. Then I update the page when the top is complete, then as the quilting is completed.

Mini Shoo Fly, 2001  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted I love the cute little mini quilts, and small quilts allow a person to try out many different patterns. I do love big quilts, but this sweet little quilt is a favorite too. It was for Tighe to bring to work, but he keeps it in his home office. My guinea pig, Cinnamin Donut, helped me model this quilt.  More info...	Berry Patch, 2001  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted This is a light, summery little lap quilt, very low values. Double Nine Patch Hearts,January-March 2001  Machine Pieced, Tied This is Tighe's quilt. He loves red, and hearts. I hand appliqued 16 hearts onto it. I love the look of the double nine patch on point, and I finally got to make one.  More info...	Spring Pinwheel, 1999-2001  Machine Pieced, Hand Quilted This was my spring time project, to brighten up my new apartment. It was started when my bedroom was decorated in greens and violets. By the time I finished it, I had changed to a red white and blue theme, so this quilt top was put aside. Eventually, I took this top out to teach myself to hand quilt!  More info...	Tighe's Dad's Flag, 1998  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted Tighe's dad loves America, the flag, and eagles. He is very patriotic! This flag quilt is made according to the specifications of the American flag, so it is true to size I didn't actually applique on 50 stars, but you could, if you wish to make a quilt like this!  More info...	Dad's Irish Chain, 1994-8  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted/Tied My Dad is Irish, and was born on the 4th of July! This double Irish chain is completely appropriate for him. Katie's Baby Quilt, 1998  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted This baby quilt was for my niece, Katie, Alex's little sister. I had a lot of fun with this pattern, and I loved the fabrics - Folk Art Wedding. I believe it was the first time I bought some of the super-nice quilt shop fabrics.   More info...	Alex's Baby Quilt, 1996  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted Baby quilts are so great! Because they are for babies, but also because they are a manageable size. This was for my nephew Alex. I used light blue batiste, and did an adequate machine quilting job!   More info...	Weathervane Wall Hanging, 1993  Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted Taking a break from big quilts, I made a pretty wallhanging, from coordinating fabrics. I love the weathervane block, and the secondary designs that emerge when you repeat the block. This was my first machine quilting experience.   More info...	Second Lemoyne, 1992  Machine Pieced, Tied I had such a good time making my first quilt, that I jumped right into making a second, this time a queen size lemoyne. I had discovered the rotary cutting system by now, so this quilt was a bit easier.   More info...
Mom's Lemoyne, 1991-2  Machine Pieced, Tied My first quilt. My mom wanted to learn how to quilt, but felt she couldn't due to her vision. We picked out fabric and a quilt block, and I made it for her. This is not a quilt for beginners! But what better way to learn than to jump right in with set-in seams and a double-size quilt? (actually, there are many ways better)   More info...
