Weathervane Wall Hanging
This wall hanging quilt is made of 4 weathervane blocks. I put a double
border around it, and it has a heart appliqued in the middle. It is just zig-zagged onto the quilt. I machine quilted all the
pieced lines.
The teal is a solid broadcloth. The pink is a mottled pink, almost a tie-died
look. The tiny floral is a pink and teal, so it coordinates nicely. The light background fabric is actually a white on off-white
floral, very subtle. The centers of the 4 blocks were from a bold floral, and I cut a nice looking flower arrangement to fit into the
square - this is what is known as fussy-cutting.
This is actually one of few wall hanging quilts I have made. I would love to make lots of small quilts, one of every block that catches my eye, but I just seem to keep making bed-sized quilts.
