Strawberry Quilt Here are some of the appliques. I prepared the pieces by making templates from heat resistantmaterial, and starched the seam allowances in place. Then I top stitched the pieces in place with matching thread.
For the circles, I actually appliqued them onto the triangles before I appliqued the triangles onto the quilt - it is easy to handle smaller pieces. That's not to say that appliqueing the rest is difficult - I only had to handle an eight in strip, then once it was done, I sewed the appliqued rows to the pieced rows.
This picture shows the strawberries, or flowers, or whatever they are!! I thought they were supposed to be strawberries, so i picked fabric like this, but in the instructions they are called flowers. It doesn't matter, they can be interpreted either way. This one is one of my favorites, since the ants are really cute.
