Starting a Family

We have decided to try to start a family this month (June 2002). (Ahh!) We will share our experiences through journal entries beginning this week with our first attempts at conception. Don't worry, we'll spare the gory details and focus on the emotional aspects. John will share his thoughts in his own journal and Kris in hers. You can choose between reading about the guy's or girl's perspective of pregnancy. We plan to talk about everything associated with having kids including, finances, marriage, family, health, career, and anything else that comes up. Since you'll be reading about our personal expriences here, maybe you would like to know a little bit about us. Kris was born in Springfield, Illinois and went to Purdue University. John was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and went to Penn State University. We met just before our second year of law school at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. Six years later, on the same day we met, we got married on Mount Soledad in San Diego. John is currently pursuing a career in college athletics while Kris is working at a few different things including a candle business and handling publishing agreements. (May 2004 Update) John is Compliance Coordiantor at Northern Illinois University and Kris is a Bradley Childbirth Instructor, looking for a day job as well. We are expecting our second child this fall and looking into a homebirth, if anyone will come out this way. John hasn't exactly kept up with his journaling, but Kris's is pretty much up to date.
