Dead Ringer THE LEGEND OF 'WILD BILL' GROWS AS SOMEONE IMPERSONATING HICKOK GOES ON A KILLING AND ROBBING SPREE... The Mill Junction bank is robbed and a man is killed by a man claiming to be Wild Bill Hickok. Unaware that someone is marauding as him, Jimmy thinks back to his time with the Judge and his matching Navy Colts. Noah tells him that there's only one reason Jimmy neither wears the matched pair nor sells them: he knows he's going to need both one day.
Warrants for Wild Bill Hickok are issued and Buck and Noah ride out to Mill Junction to get Jimmy. There, he is ambushed by the town, which is angry over the robbery and the death of one of their own. Meanwhile, Jake Colter arrives in Sweetwater bent on claiming the bounty placed on Jimmy's head. After looking at the schedule, Rachel determines Jimmy was in Blue Creek -- nowhere near Mill Junction when the robbery took place. Lou goes in search of a witness to confirm that. Cody returns from his run, bruised, battered, and lightning-struck. Ike warns him that the spirits are retaliating for the trick he's playing on Buck. Cody maintains that it's all a bunch on superstition. After saying this, he falls through his bunk and later breaks a tooth. Jimmy arrives in Mill Junction under the guise of Ambrose Merryweather. The bank manager tells him that the bank thief knew about a secret stash of money only employees and the bank auditor were aware of. He tells Jimmy that the auditor, Muncie, is in Cottonwood. Jimmy checks into the Cottonwood hotel only to find Muncie right across the hall.
Jimmy overhears conversation about Hickok and tries to defend himself, but stops in order to keep is disguise. Muncie approaches him and tells him that the men in the saloon will be sorry for speaking badly about Hickok. Hickok explores Muncie's room and finds a Hickok outfit. He sends word to Teaspoon. Muncie becomes suspicious when he sees Jimmy speaking to the bank manager. Colter arrives in town, narrowly missing Jimmy. Jimmy is kidnapped by Muncie, who explains that he respects Hickok and only wants to build his reputation. Men like Muncie's father, who used to beat his son, are afraid of Wild Bill. He's respected. Muncie goes on to explain that after he robs the bank in Cottonwood, he'll lead the marshal to Jimmy. He'll be killed and Muncie will take over as Wild Bill. Teaspoon, Kid, Jimmy, Noah, and Buck surprise Muncie, who takes a hostage during the attempted robbery. He's killed by Colter, who finds his bounty worthless since Jimmy wasn't the one who robbed the banks. TRIVIA: The name Jimmy uses sounds familiar, right? Ambrose Merryweather is the name of his long-time admirer "Bulldog." Previous || Next || Days Of Our Lives || Feedback |
