Final Fantasy 7 Characters

Cloud Strife
The main character in Final Fantasy 7, he was once in SOLDIER, then left
to become a mercenary. He then got involved with AVALANCHE and soon began
to fight for more than just money, but for the life of the Planet. His
past isn't quite clear, and he soon learns of it. He is, without a doubt,
the most powerful character in the game. This is due to his powerful Omnislash
limit break that can be more powerful than Knights of the Round.

Aeris Gainsborough
Aeris is just a simple flower merchant who sells in the slums of Midgar.
Her magic is very effective and powerful, and she holds one of the games
most important parts. She also seems to have a strong relationship with Cloud...
I can't comment on her too much, but I don't want to spoil the game. We'll
just leave it at "She's somewhat mysterious."

Tifa Lockheart
Tifa is one of Cloud's childhood friend's and she has always had
strong feelings for him. She is also working with AVALANCHE, and she
is known for her optimism and cheery mood. However, she is very powerful in
hand to hand combat. Her limit breaks are innovative, and are potentially
powerful, but screwing up on the slot machine will result in a wasteful limit break.

Barret Wallace
The leader of the underground resistance group AVALANCHE, who seeks
revenge against Shinra for killing his wife and for using Mako power
to deplete the life of the Planet. His "gun-arm" was the result of a
tragedy several years ago, and packs heavy damage. I didn't quite like
Barret, mainly because his magic attack is relatively low. I do think
however, that his limit breaks just LOOK cool.

Red XIII
Red XIII is one of Hojo's lab experiments. He is fearsome and intelligent
beast who is known to be the last of his kind. Red XIII isn't even
sure to be his real name, he just received it from the tatoo that has
been placed on him. I sort of thought Red XIII was kind of lame.

Cid Highwind
Cid is a foul mouthed man who owns the sky. Flying has been his dream
for years, and he someday wishes he go into outter space. Although he has
come close, he has not been able to accomplish his dream due to his wife.
His hand made spear will help him around while in battle. Cid isn't that
bad of a fighter, he's also just cool.

Cait Sith
A large stuffed moogle type thing with a cat on it's back who uses a
megaphone. It's not too clear who or what he is, and he doesn't seem
to be too reliable. His fortune telling skills are not of the greatest
either, and the thing doesn't even seem to be real. Cait Sith is through
the eyes of many, considered to be the worst character in the game. This
may because he only has two limit breaks. He's okay when you first get him.

Yuffie Kisaragi
Yuffie is one of the games "Secret" characters. This materia hunting
annoyance is quite powerful, because she comes from a family of ninjas.
Her personality isn't very trustworthy, and she does tend to get into quite
a bit of trouble. I personally found her okay in battle, but not the best.
Is it just me or does she have the same last name as Misato from Evangelion?

Vincent Valentine
The second of the "Secret" characters. Vincent is a very mysterious
person, and his powers are great. His past involves Sephiroth and
SOLDIER, and when he is angered, a great power will be unleashed from
within. His limit breaks are awesome, but you have no control over them
and they last an entire battle.

Sephiroth
His past is destroyed, and his whereabouts are unknown. Although
he is connected with SOLDIER somehow, nothing much is known about
Sephiroth, except that his power is immense. He does have a mysterious
connection with Cloud, that will soon be discovered.
