Fei Fong Wong lives in the small village of Lahan. He was once mysteriously brought there by a masked man, and know no more about his arrival.
Fei's friend is having a wedding, and Fei is sent to the top of a nearby mountain to retrieve camera equipment. The man who live at the top is named Citan. He is a doctor, and also enjoys messing around with machines. Fei arrives at Citan's house and is shown a 'musical device' that was excavated from ruins. The device breaks, and Citan presumes that it is a bad omen. After Fei is finished with dinner at Citan's house, he returns back to Lahan, but doesn't bring the equipment because Citan doesn't want Fei handling suck delicate instruments, so Citan will just bring then to the wedding the next day...
As Fei goes home, he sees that Lahan is under attack by giant gears from a distance. Fei runs towards the town and Citan follows immeadiately after. On arrival, Fei gets into an empty gear and during combat, his gear malfunctions and distroys the whole town of Lahan. Fei is then forced to leave for good.
