Citizenship belt loops

Remember the belt loops are for the scout doing their best to learn about the sport or academic activity, and by putting the new techniques to practice with fellow scouts, in their community, or working with an adult. No specific requirements are usually listed in the booklets. The check list is only a guide.
To earn the belt loop:
_____1. Learn about citizenship by reading a book about freedom or our government.. Discuss it with your adult teammate.
_____2. Show citizenship at home by selecting a job that needs to be done at home. Do your best at completing it.
_____3. Good citizens protect the environment. Decide on a way your family can conserve. Complete this project. (i.e. recycling, composting, energy audit, water conservation)
_____4. Good citizens know what to do in an emergency. Make a list of emergency numbers. Make a fire safety plan.
_____5. Good citizens learn about their community. Visit a historic site in your community. Discuss why it is important.
_____6. Discuss with your adult teammate the requirements to become a United States citizen.
_____7. Share your citizenship experiences with your den.
_____8. "Do your best" while participating in this scholastic activity.
