Music belt loops
Remember the belt loops are for the scout doing their best to learn about the sport or academic activity, and by putting the new techniques to practice with fellow scouts, in their community, or working with an adult. No specific requirements are usually listed in the booklets. The check list is only a guide.
To earn the belt loop:
_____1. Sing a song by yourself or in a small group.
_____2. Play a song on an instrument of your choice. Homemade instruments may be used.
_____3. Move to a piece of music, matching your movements to the elements of music. Perform your creation for your family or den.
_____4. Create words to a familiar tune; or create an original melody and words for a song.
_____5. Listen to two musical selections (either recorded or live) and discuss them with your adult teammate.
_____6. "Do your best" while participating in this scholastic activity.
I certify that ___________________________ has completed the minimum requirements to receive the belt loop.
