Remember the belt loops are for the scout doing their best to learn about the sport or academic activity, and by putting the new techniques to practice with fellow scouts, in their community, or working with an adult. No specific requirements are usually listed in the booklets. The check list is only a guide.

To earn the belt loop:

_____1. List the equipment necessary in this sport.

_____2. Learn the basic rules of the game.

_____3. Learn how to score the game of tennis.

_____4. Demonstrate the following:

__ gripping the racquet__ forehand stroke __ backhand stroke

_____5. Play two sets of the "Little Game" as explained on page 30 of the Tennis booklet or two sets of a regular tennis game.

_____6. Demonstrate good sportsmanship while participating in this sport.

 

I certify that _________has completed the minimum requirements to receive the belt loop.
