Fishing belt loops
Remember the belt loops are for the scout doing their best to learn about the sport or academic activity, and by putting the new techniques to practice with fellow scouts, in their community, or working with an adult. No specific requirements are usually listed in the booklets. The check list is only a guide.
To earn the belt loop:

_____3. Demonstrate how to set up your tackle.
_____4. Understand the Outdoor Code.
_____5. Know and practice safe fishing and follow local fishing laws.
_____6. Identify different types of fish that you might catch.
_____7. Participate in a fishing trip with your adult teammate.
_____8. Demonstrate good sportsmanship while participating in this sport.
