The Manga
From 1990 – 1997 there had been 33 Manga, as well as one special Manga issue called “Gaiden” published by SHOUNEN SUNDAY COMICS in Japan of Kazuhiro Fujita’s “Ushio to Tora”.

The Manga is also available in Italian. In 1994 GRANATA started to publish the italian translation – “Ushio e Tora”, but stopped it after volume 13. Later on, STAR published all 33 issues, as well as the special Manga.

Kazuhiro Fujita really changed his drawing style very often in the Manga and this is really unusual for a Mangaka. You could say, in the last few Manga his style really had become perfect.

The Manga is out of print now in Japan and a second edition isn’t planed so far, unfortunately (there is always a certain number of copies published and if these are all sold, there will be no more. Another edition will only be, if the Manga had been extremely successful in Japan – like Sailor Moon for example. But Ushio & Tora never reached that high status of popularity.)
