Someone wise undoubtedly once said that to be stood still was to be moving backwards. Taking this statement figuratively, rather than literally (because it doesn't make any sense that way), I update TIGU quite a bit, to try to avoid it getting stale. The only problem is letting people know which bits have altered since they last visited, which is why this page is here.
So go on, have a look and find out what's changed since you last visited.
16 / 7 / 00 - Well hello there, how are we all doing? It's excuse time, isn't it? So here I go.
*Ahem* You see, I've just finished university, which meant a whole load of revision, projects, and exams, and have also
recently gotten myself a nice little job working on computer games. Except that it's in a different town to the one where I
used to live. So I've had to house hunt, and then move. All of which are a massive pain in the nuts, and it's more than
likely that the next actual proper TIGU update is going to be about moving home. Anyway, in the mean-time I've updated the
quiz scores, which now include a new, champion of the pleasant - Nathan Stewart is clearly
the kind of lad that carries people's shopping home for them, and helps old ladies cross the street. What a guy. I've also
got some more mail to upload (including more praise, surprisingly, and a farm girl who's clearly a bit unstable,
unsurprisingly) but you're going to have to wait for that.
26 / 3 / 00 - Are you ready for a nice long read? I hope so, because I've just done my longest
and least illustrated rant yet. Go have a read. I think it's great. Anyway, I'm into my weeks
off now, so there could be a few more articles and things coming up. Oh yeah, and someday soon I'll get up to date with the
comments in my guestbook but it's just changed hands apparently, so I'll need to sign in
and everything to do it. Nuts.
11 / 3 / 00 - Yes, yes, I know. I've got my final year project to finish at the moment (it's
very important, by the way) so that's been occupying most of my writing time (the rest has gone to the student newspaper -
I'd print my articles here, but they're very in-jokey to the uni, so you probably wouldn't understand them). Anyway,
I have had time to update the My E-Mail, so why not have a look there for the only new
conent. Don't worry, I've got five weeks off coming up soon, so something new should materialise then. Hopefully.
1 / 2 / 00 - Some more new stuff, even if it has been almost a month coming. Firstly, there are
brand spanking new articles on fishing and docusoaps, both of
which have plagued my life like ... well ... a plague. I've also put in the new quiz scores, of which there seem to be hundreds at the moment. Am I finally getting the fame I deserve?
6 / 1 / 00 - Well who's been a busy boy? A whole selection of new
miscellaneous stuff has annoyed me into writing it down. While I was there I also did the latest batch of
quiz scores and added photos to three of my friends who
were previously faceless. Hurrah!
4 / 1 / 00 - The first update to TIGU in the new millennium. And on that note, have a look
here. It was very cathartic to write that piece, believe me. On the "what's happening to
Tony's computer" front today: I've bought a new keyboard (a Logitech one, to go with my mouse) which is gorgeous to
type on, and doesn't stick (so from now on any typos are my fault again). Also, one of my hard drives appears to be
intermittently jiggered. It's the bigger of the two, with all of my work files etc on it. So if I go missing again for an
age, you know why. Happy new year, and all that.
24 / 12 / 99 - Ah, hello. It woud seem that I have some expaining to do. You see, I was fully
intending for this year to be a great one for TIGU, and have it grow beyond its current size. But then uni started, and I
had to re-evaluate the situation. I was also saving up the e-mail that I've gotten, for a page containing just that, so
you could all amuse yourseves with the twisted rantings I received (including the American guy who actually recorded himself
speaking, so I could compare accents - what a guy). Unfortunately Windows, in all of its wisdom, recently died on my computer,
taking my carefully collected e-mail with it. So now I have a solitary one piece of mail regarding TIGU, and the Vengaboys.

Oh yeah, and about two dozen UQs vanished too. Anyway, today I've been through the whole site and added bits and pieces.
Have a look at the About Me, About TIGU, Hits Compilations, Mass e-mail, and Tamagotchi pages for the majority of the
changes. Oh, and finally, my keyboard's shagged at the moment, so don't be too surprised to see missing letters -
"L"s and "V"s in particular. And Merry Christmas.
16 / 8 / 99 - And just as the updates became abundant, they once more dried up. Ah well, swings and roundabouts, and all that. Anyway, I've just put together a page of Half-Life Stuff which I would like you all to visit. Especially if you play Half-Life. Otherwise it'd be kinda pointless. Sorry.
20 / 7 / 99 - See? I said that the updates would be happening more frequently now, and they are.
Go right now, and see what I have to say on the phenominon that is extreme sports. I don't
understand them, and neither should any sane man.
18 / 7 / 99 - Hurrah! Some actual New Content (tm) has arrived. Go and see what I have to say
about dating - an unpleasant but seemingly unavoidable evil. An innocent page, or a subtle hint
at what's been stopping me from updating TIGU? You decide. Also, yesterday I finally got connected to the internet. Up
until now, you see, every update has been from work or uni, whereas now I can do it from home, so hopefully (yeah, right)
they should be more frequent.
4 / 6 / 99 - Long time since an update, due to Real Life (tm) stuff getting in the way. At the moment all I've done is updated a load of quiz scores, including the very first Annoyingly Pleasant person to visit TIGU. But anyway, I've had an idea for my next page, so hopefully that should be up soon, especially since work has calmed down a bit now.
6 / 4 / 99 - The Easter weekend has obviously had bad effects on my psyche, since three new things have popped up. See what I have to say about The Vengaboys, Pop Music, and other Miscellaneous Stuff. I've been listening to the radio a lot this weekend, if you couldn't tell.
31 / 3 / 99 - Still only a few UQs and a plea added here. I'm coming up with new stuff, honest. I just need a bit of spare time, and my writing pencils.
19 / 3 / 99 - I'm obviously still lacking inspiration, as all I've updated recently is a new stack of UQs, and a new plea, (which did substantially better than the last) here.
1 / 3 / 99 - I've just added a load of new UQs to the quiz scores page, and have been prompted to add a new section, entitled "Pleas". If you have a problem with your UQ, if nobody else can help, then maybe you should try mailing me with a good reason why you should have a different one. Have a look here to get the idea.
9 / 2 / 99 - There's now an lovely piece of JavaScript in the buttons bar on the left, that uses cookies to work out if there's been a new update since you last visited. You'll probably never even realise that it's there, but it is, and I'm proud of it. So there.
8 / 2 / 99 - Nothing exciting today. I just changed the table of contents back to its original "old-skool stylee". Mainly because the image map was getting on my wick.
4 / 2 / 99 - Today's stuff: I've added bits and pieces to my About Me page, but nothing really monumental. Phil has also placed a lovely picture of me in my pants on his site. Don't ask, just check it out for yourself.
3 / 2 / 99 - I've finally gotten around to finishing my own guide to the internet, and all of its unpleasant ways. I've also put a little bit in the blue bar over there on your left, that tells you the last date anything was updated, and links to the top update on this page. Groovy, baby. Oh yes, and as a final treat, why not have a look at Phil's homepage and in particular the majestic Page of Pants. You won't regret it. Much.
1 / 2 / 99 - Now here's an interesting thing. Turns out that my URL has been published in a book called The Rough Guide to the Internet 1999. Go to your local bookstore and track down a copy (it's a small book, with a pink cover), then flick to page 273 (yes, I've memorised the page number), where you'll see TIGU as being listed in the humour section. Even if they did forget the brackets around "illustrated". Check out the official page here.
