CivNet Cursors Now Available! 08-23-2006   posted by CivPartisan at Wed, 23 August 2006 06:035:47 One of the perks made available to visitors of this site is the ability to get extras for unsupported versions of Civilization that will always be located in the Archives section at the right. Today, there are five cursors for CivNet that have been recreated for your PC desktop and posted here for download. See for yourself:       I have taken the time to recreate the first cursor listed (cursor1.gif) and the fourth cursor listed (cursor2.gif) as they appear in CivNet version 1.0.0. The second, third, fifth, and sixth cursors above are variations of my own. I am not sure how to use these in Windows (R) but if you know how, please drop me an email so I can post the directions with them. Note: Cursors are posted as actual size -- use right-click/save as on your browser to download them one at a time. I have also not drawn the white background as a transparency yet so I would suspect that it will show. I may go back and fix this, but for now at least it is there. I will likely update these cursors in the days to come. I used to make custom cursors for myself but now I can't remember everything about this simple task for the life of me. The Links section has also been updated and more reviewed links are available for your disposal. The mission statement has also changed for the site to reflect what CPH has actually become. Archiving the info in regard to what civilization is and its growth throughout the years seems to be a favorite of this site. New links have been reviewed and added to the links section. Updating the site has now advanced to what one might call "regular" and this means that it is fitting quite nicely into life for me as well. I still have the information and files from the previous site and this site will probably face yet another move. Although I mirrored the index page all of the goodies like the forum, counter, guestbook and so forth bit the dust with the move. Now, I have to find a new host and it may take some time to get the site back to standard. Most of the reason for this is the fact that everything has to be converted to the new format and that takes time. I am also on the search for a site host which is why I've taken so long. I would have also preferred to upload this site to the final destination first. Note: When I get the site hosted, I will be looking for forum moderators and a part-administrator to help out. I really want this site to continue with its mission and I know that so many others who visited and gave their comments in the old guest book would want that as well. Unfortunately, all of the good stuff is lost, as I did not have control over the previous site change -- please bear with me on this and when I get things back together again things can get back to normal.
