How many times have you heard the famous quote “today is the first day of the rest of your life”? Well, for me, today is just that! I am starting my first daily journal today and it is for my personal story of rebirth. Today I weigh approximately 649 pounds. That's down from around 700 lb. three months ago. I am in the midst of what will be one of the most astonishing comebacks ever recorded by modern man.
My goal is to lose over 400 pounds! No time frame has been set. I am just eating healthy, exercising more and I am under the care of numerous, wonderful and caring Doctors, Nurses, and Psychotherapists.
I will check in and write about my journey and share all the breakthroughs, heartaches, triumphs, recipes, and activities that are important elements of my rebirth. I have dubbed myself; Hughdini, as I am escaping from the weight that shackles me from enjoying a full life. My innermost thoughts, feelings and emotions will be on display here. If you are reading this, beware, for you may be embarking upon something that will test your emotional structure to the core. I know my life has done that to me. And as I speak to my therapists, I see the emotions surface in their eyes. Even though as professionals they try their best to cover it up.
