I have been busy fighting the good fight and sticking to my guns. I am working out regularly, although it's not easy at times. I have been able to keep myself motivated. My walking is coming along good, I am making progress and my BORG rate has increased quite a bit. My PT has cut me down to two visits per month and she is happy with the way I have stayed with it and with the progress I have made. Dr Wisse took me off of another medication and so far I have not seen any increase in my daily blood sugar numbers. My wife keeps telling me how handsome I am as I slim down inch by inch. There are many changes taking place and I can feel and see them within my body.
I still have a long way to go, but you know? I think people are finally starting to believe in me and starting to think that I have it in me to go all the way and reach my goal. I have not weighed in for a while and won't see the Doctor until 9/25/02. So I have another two months to go before my next weigh in.
I have been taking Quake with me on all of my walks and he likes that a lot. I am also working him in his obedience class about 80% of the time now. He just started a second class for a new event sponsored by the United Kennel Club called obedience rally. They allow mixed breed dogs to compete and it's geared toward amateur handlers. I think he will do well and we plan to compete with him in this event. It's a fun thing that Shawna and I can do together. Something we have never had in our marriage is a common hobby.
