Jesse

A YOUNG BOY MEETS THE RIDERS AND CHANGES THEIR LIVES...

Four men kill Rock Creek's doctor after he treats one of them, but his grandson -- Jesse -- sees them as they ride away. Left alone in the house on the outskirts of town, Jesse decides to go to Rock Creek. He meets Lou on the road and tries to steal her horse. Jesse realizes Lou is a girl and backs off. Despite being attacked by the young boy, Lou still offers Jesse a ride into town.

Meanwhile, the riders are not too happy with their new home. Their uneasiness is aggravated when the owner of the local restaurant refuses to serve Noah and Buck.

Lou and Jesse arrive in town and the boy promptly sees Jimmy with one of the horses the men who killed his grandfather rode. Thinking Jimmy was among the killers, Jesse takes a shot at him. He misses, but the killers realize someone had seen their crime. They escape.

Jesse rejects Teaspoon's help, insisting that he "ain't no kid". He goes around town looking for work so he could pay for the doc's funeral, but he finds none. Finally, Teaspoon and the riders take up a collection to pay for the doc's funeral. Teaspoon also tells Jesse he could stay with him at the Marshall's office.

The killers are still in Rock Creek looking for money they hid in the cemetery five years ago. They kill almost everybody they question, including the gravedigger and the undertaker. From the latter they learn who took their loot. The killers go after Jarvis, the restaurant owner, but Buck and Noah save him. His attitude towards them changes.

One of the criminals see Jesse and try to kill him, but he was caught by the riders and taken to prison. Jesse asks Hickok to tell him how to shoot, saying he needs to go after his grandfather's killers. Jimmy refuses and tells him a kid shouldn't be handling guns and killing.

The prisoner is freed because of a devious lawyer. Jesse follows him to the killer's camp. He was nearly caught but the riders, once again, come to his rescue. In the end, Jesse decides to accept Teaspoon's offer and stay with the riders for a while. Lou gives the boy a letter... addressed to Jesse James.
