A House Divided
In The Presence Of Mine Enemies Till Death Do Us Part (Part One) Till Death Do Us Part (Part Two) |
Lessons Learned TEASPOON MUST MAKE A CHOICE BETWEEN DUTY AND DECENCY... Rock Creek residents are all scared and angry that a notorious gunfighter is back in town. They present a "wanted" poster of Randall to Teaspoon who tells them that the bounty is no good since a judge overturned an earlier conviction of the gunfighter. One family in particular is very worried because one of them testified against Randall at the trial. Teaspoon sends Buck to ask as the boy's bodyguard in case Randall comes for him.
The Rock Creek folks are stricken that one of their own died at Randall's hands and they blame Marshall Hunter. An old friend of Teaspoon who now sports a deputy territorial marshall's badge indirectly tells the Marshall the lie at Randall's new murder trial because the governor wants the gunfighter convicted. Teaspoon, however tells the truth -- that Marty, in effect, called out Randall. The gunfighter is freed again. Meanwhile, Teaspoon's third wife (remember he had six) comes to town as the owner of the new saloon. During dinner at the bunkhouse, Polly tells Teaspoon that her father is dead. Teaspoon is stricken by grief. Apparently, the old man is an idol of his. Teaspoon later tells Jimmy that Polly's father was the one that set him on the right side of the law. Teaspoon says there aren't men like that anymore. Jimmy smiles at Teaspoon and assures him there still are. In town, the folks pressure Teaspoon to arrest Randall, especially after Marty's brother Albert also dies in gunfight. But Teaspoon can't do anything because on both times, the boys were the ones who called Randall out. One night Randall goes to the saloon and tries to make some trouble but is forced to leave by Polly and the riders. Outside, the gunfighter picks up a chair and prepares to smash Polly's window but Teaspoon stops him. The Marshall tells Randall to drop the chair and his gunbelt and they trade blows. Teaspoon, despite his age, easily wins. He is also placed in jail by the deputy territorial marshall. Furious at Teaspoon, Randall exacts revenge by raping Polly. Teaspoon is furious but he couldn't do anything because he is in jail. He begs Jimmy to let him out so he can track Randall who has fled. Jimmy tries to protect Teaspoon from himself and says no. Together with Buck, Cody and the Kid, Jimmy sets out to find Randall. At the jailhouse, Rachel visits teaspoon and is persuaded to let him out. He follows Jimmy's tracks and finds Randall. Teaspoon persuades Randall to drop his gun and surrender but as he turns his back, Randall pulls another gun from his back and shoots Teaspoon but misses. Warned by Buck and Jimmy, Teaspoon drops down, rolls and shoots Randall twice. The gunfighter falls dead. Previous || Next || Days Of Our Lives || Feedback |
