Comments: "Although this was an inexpensive, effective way to teach my son
to read, I will not use it again with any other kids. My son learned to read
quickly, but he hated the book and hated using it. We only did to lesson 70 or
so, that was quite enough."

Comments: "While this is not a complete language arts curriculum, it is an
incredibly effective way to teach a child to read through a phonics-based
approach. I chose to supplement my daughter's K5 educational experience at
an area private preschool with this book and, truly, by the 100th lesson she was
reading chapter books. We just finished her first year of homeschool
(first grade) and she is reading soundly on a third grade reading level.
Conventional or no, IT WORKS!"

Comments: "When I first looked at this book, I didn't like it at all. I
didn't even try it. I didn't like the way the letters were written - small when
silent, never capitalized, hooked together for a blend, etc. But, after going
through this book, a friend of mine's 7yr. old daughter was reading The Little
House series and The Chronicles of Narnia. I was convinced!!! This is the second
year I'm using it and my 6 yr.old can read just about anything. Just yesterday
he sounded out "technical difficulties"!! I'd say this program works,
whether I like it or not. (Although my opinion is rapidly changing!!!)"

Comments: "When I first looked at this book, I thought it was weird. The
letters do look funny, as Jenn states, but she is absolutely right when she says
it works. My daughter completed this book in K5, and now she is a solid phonetic
reader. This program WILL teach your child to read by sounding out the letter
sounds, and gives him/her a great start to primary reading skills. Winner!"
