Comments: Power Glide Junior Adventure (Latin & French) series is excellent for K-6 levels. Latin, French, Spanish, German and Russian are available at this level. The Latin program is an excellent introduction to Latin. It includes 4 audio CD's, a workbook/storybook and a Teacher's guide. The format is the same as the other Junior Adventure languages in that the child becomes involved in the story at hand. In Latin's case, they are stranded on a island where the people still speak Latin, and only Latin. In order to save the group, your child and the story characters must learn enough Latin to be able to find accommodations, eat, and get off the island. Amazingly enough, children are very drawn into the story and develop language skills very quickly. The French program includes 8 CD's instead of 4 and also is available with a CD-ROM of extra material.

The Power-Glide formula seems simple, but produces amazing results and gives your child conversational level language skills that other programs are sorely lacking. Its multi-sensory approach appeals to many types of learners and kids (and parents too!) find it just plain fun.

Comments: "I used the first level of Spanish Junior level with all of my children this year. We purchased it through a Christian book store and were able to use a store dicount coupon on it. All the lessons we did together. My older sons shared the teacher manual and my youngest used the workbook, but without writing in it. I had him do all the writing or coloring exercizes on separate paper. We all enjoyed it and learned a lot of everyday words. We look forward to the next level. We have thought about redoing this one again to pick up on many of the words that we just didn't learn the first time. Power glide also has a e-newsletter with extra activities, recipes, and cultural information about the people who speak each language."

Comments: "We used Power-Glide French and Spanish for the older children before the newer younger child version was available. It's an excellent program!! The grammar and syntax are a little lacking but for coversational learning, it's great. We're using the Latin children's version now and are really enjoying it. I highly recommend it!!"
