Comments:  "My son has finished both the Gold High-school level books now, and I have been generally pleased with the program.  We needed to supplement with vocabulary and creative writing, which we did with Wordly Wise and Wordsmith this year.  The novels and poetry in these books are aligned with the college reading lists and Classical Education recommendations.  It was easy for him to teach himself and he actually enjoyed the poetry!"

Comments:  "I use this series along with Daily Grams for my son and he seems to have a terrific grasp of the intricacies of English.  Each week starts out with a quote from a piece of literature for the child either to copy or to write as it is dictated.  He corrects his writing, and spelling words for the week come from any errors he makes the first day.  The rest of the week you will have lessons on parts of speech, parts of the sentence, composition, or any other parts of language, all based on that week's literature selection.  Over the years, this series has introduced us to some wonderful books and authors that the whole family has enjoyed.  We like this series because he is acquiring the necessary information without boring drills or interminable lessons.  Most days require just a few minutes.  Definitely for the average to gifted child.  Perhaps a slow learner would need more drill than this provides.  I'm not sure."
