Comments:  "Unit studies are wonderful, especially if you have children in several different grades.  My kids loved KONOS because of all the hands-on, fun, practical activities.  It is very nice when everyone is interested in the
same things at the same time.  (Dinner conversation is smoother.)  Also,
I tried to choose library books in-between the reading level of my oldest
and youngest, and then have the older read aloud to the others.  This
way, everyone was getting the needed information, and I got a chance to
do something else!  We used KONOS for several years and have now branched
out into doing our own unit studies, based on the interests of the
children and what mom thinks they need to cover."

Comments: "I think KONOS is a great resource if you are not a "I have to do everything" type of person. You need to use restraint with it if you are the over-anxious type. I would not recommend it for first-timers. It is great for those with a little experience under their belts who want a terrific resource. For a first-timer who is interested in unit studies I would recommend "How to Create Your Own Unit Studies" instead."

Comments: "We like unit studies! This Christian curriculum covers all subject areas except math. My child picks her own areas of interest & there are several "skill" levels to choose from."

re: A La' Carte Books http://www.alacartebooks.com
Comments = A La Carte Books is a Konos Supplement Resource. They provide a wide variety of books that match the Konos curriculum for every age. The girls that run A La Carte Books were homeschooled themselves they're whole lives and just want to help other homeschoolers. If they don't have a book that you are looking for they go out of their way to find it for you. They are wonderful and extremely helpful.
