The whole world has gone its way
I am left here all alone
No one tries to contact me
No one on the phone
And I just sit and wonder
What the world is coming to
As I sink into desperation
And the world turns blue
But, then again, I think of Christ
And I feel comforted yet again
For God can bring the sunshine back
And end a day of rain
I don't know what I'd ever do
If God were not by my side
For someday I just want to run
Or find a place to hide
Yes, the world somehow has forgotten me
But God, he gives me a smile
For now I know He was always here
