Today, I think of you, Mother Of all the love you gave Of how you wanted me to succeed And told me "Jesus will save" I think of all the care I think of all the tears Dear Mother, today I remember All the wondrous years And though you are now in Heaven I think of you even Still How you kept the faith until the end How you obeyed God's will And, Mother, I get a smile Still in my heart today For remembering how you always Would take time to pray I know you are an "Angel" now Up there in Heaven above And yet, Mother, I still feel the comfort From your eternal love Yes, Mother, I know you are not here And tears they still come And I know how you set the direction And told me "Jesus is the one" Mother, I love him too You granted that I may By teaching me follow the light To Trust and Obey And soon, my Mother, I will pass Soon I will see you again There up in Heaven With Jesus as our friend I brought you a rose, Mother I'll place it here on your grave And I'll smile when I think of how You told me, "Only God can save" Thanks, Mother, I love you I wish you "Happy Mother's Day" in tears Thanks so much, I miss you Thanks for "all the years" And as I lay the rose by her grave The wind began to blow I felt a chill fall over me I said, "Mother, I love you so" And, I turned and saw her She was draped in white Yes, clothed by the sun I saw her An Angel of the light And, Mother reached her arms out She said, "Son, I am here" My heart was fully breaking I could not hold back a tear And she told me, "God has granted" "That I come here today" To tell you "I love you too" Just follow in the Way A rainbow appeared on the horizon And I could hear the angels sing Mother and child, together again As I heard a sparrow sing Mother's Day is special My Mother is part of God's love For she loved me so very much She came from up above She Came From Up Above
