Long, long, long ago
There that first "Christmas morn"
A child to be known as Jesus Christ
The "Rose" of God was borne
A hundred thousand angels danced in heaven
A Star showed the wise men the way
The Shepherds knelt down in the fields
They knelt down to God to pray
This "Special Child" to bring the light!
So beautiful then to see
Borne of the Virgin Mary then
A Savior for you and for me
And God's "Rose" is celebrated again
Yes, Christmas, it is nigh
The "Greatest Gift" God ever gave
So we may never die
If you love the child of love
Place a Rose there above your door
Show God how much Jesus means
And that you love his rose forevermore
His rose, forevermore!
