Notes: So, the main characters have finally all gotten together in the same location. What's the first thing I do? Send them off in opposite directions again!
As much as I disliked the crosshatching on the previous page, I really like it here. Understated, and used to good effect. The ever popular "starburst" in panel #2 both focuses your attention on the center of the image AND gives an almost "shattered window" feeling (adding weight to the impact that happened off screen (or at least behind the sound effect). I like to use that trick when the details of the collision don't matter. It's interesting to leave something that important to the imagination in a medium that is all about showing action plainly.
Then in panel #3 we have my common parallel lines (or MOSTLY parallel since I'm too lazy to use a ruler all the time), but in an image that has been turne off-center. It's a way to emphasize the oblique angle and create a feeling of slight confusion or displacement. I do NOT, however, like the shading job I did on Adler's neck ... again, too much unnecessary detail that just draws attention to something that is unimportant.
