I know...I've spent at least half my time on this blog busting on the Democratic Party...but damn, I just can't help it. I don't understand what they are thinking...(by the way, if you're new to Whitee.com - I'm a Green). Does the Democratic "leadership" really think this is working? I turned on Air America again for the first time in...jeez...months and they're f-ing clueless, too. Look...it's easy to bitch about The War Criminal and his posse. They are thugs...brutish...facist thugs. But when you're the opposition and you do all of...of...this. OK, let me get to examples. I'll start with local - which for me is the Rochester, NY area - for now, anyway.

A two sentence description of this area: Dems run the city and the one suburb where most of the Jews are and the Reps have the rest of the suburbs. Generalizing, the annoying, upper-class whites live in the outlying suburbs, middle-class whites & non-whites live in the "inner ring" suburbs (which is starting to decay, causing the first group to move even farther out) and the city has your really poor people, kooky lefties, gentrifyingly annoying young whites, etc.

While New York is a "blue" state, this county is just about even as a whole. And the dems here are like Keystone Kops. The party is factioned into a kingdom that is terrorized by a State Assemblyman who handpicks people to run for office. And people in this city are lemmings...you could run a pedofile-nazi-arsonist for city council and as long as he's on the democratic line in November...he's winning. I'm not exaggerating.

So this year, there's a mayoral race...oh good lordy...it's only July and I want the sweet release of death from this thing already.

This is a bizzare example of how messed up the Dems are. We have a situation where the local party has a monopoly on any seat in the city. Whomever has that line in November wins. And the one person who actually stands for the values the party is supposed to embody is ignored by the party. In fact, the new party chair has asked him to stop with his primary bid. When you can choose anyone you want...any activist...any solid political person with a progressive core with real ideas...you go for the guy with no substance or the trojan republican.

At the State Level...well...I only have one example...look at our Senators. Oh my god...Clintonbagger & Warmonger Chuck. You can use the search engine on the top of this page to see what I've said about these sleezebags. I'm not going to repeat it and I have nothing new on them, except this...

Anyone who starts that crap about me not liking Clintonbagger because she's a strong woman can kiss my tush. I don't care what her gender is, she's sleezy, voted for the war and I trust her as much as I trust her husband. And...if you still think it's an issue of sexism, you can quote me on this...

If the Democrat's nominee for the White House in 2008 is Barbara Boxer, I will change my registration to Dem and work on her campaign. Yep, I said it.

Federally. Oh Lordy...you cats are in serious trouble. Oh my freakin god. Sandra Day O'Connor stepping down from the Supreme Court....oh...we're so screwed because now anyone who cherishes their civil liberties is going to have Harry Reid standing up for them. hooray. Renquist has been dead for a year and hasn't realized it yet so now The War Criminal & Co are going to put two wackos on the bench and the Dems will do nothing to stop it. What good is having the right to filibuster if you don't use it? Man...check out a couple of Common Dreams articles on this:

O'Connor Resigns; Ugliness To Come; Bush Foes Ought To Think about the E-word
Court Fight: It's More Than Left-v-Right
or
It's Put Up or Shut Up Time for Bush and the Democrats

Now I agree with this. A good point in the What's the Matter with Kansas book was that for all the talk about abortion, etc, the republicans haven't actually done much to it. (individual crazies have, but not politicans or courts) The Supreme Court has done some nasty stuff in economic (i.e. class) decisions.

To sum up...we're all a bunch of idiots. So there.

Here's how a government SHOULD work.
