Whitee - Purveyor of Fine Beats...Provider of Lyrical Treats

Music, culture & politics. We'll also update Whitee's recording progress.

Yes, I've been threatening you with it for a while now and here it is...new Whitee stuff. Here's a demo of Big Balloon Head. It's rough...real rough. It has all the production value of a 7th grade play. Get what I'm sayin? It's going to be done with a full band, but this mp3 is just me & my geetar. I'm hoping to have another up in a week or so. Enjoy it as much as is humanly possible.

I also posted a low-fi mp3 of Trials & Tribulations. I was thinking about my co-conspirator the other day - figured it would be cool to put it up again. Stafford & I wrote the song and as the CD was out to be pressed he died in a car accident.

Also up are a couple of pre-whitee bits - Bob Villa is a Time-Life Books take off on home improvement. One of the best lines in any of these bits is in it: You can wipe your ass, too, with the Time-Life Home Improvement Series. Thanks to Cheese for getting his hand cut off.

Then we have J&E Grocery 3. This is a tribute to these late night commercials that used to be on TV in my home town. This ghetto grocery would put these ads on at 1am for pigs' feet, neckbones and stuff like that. The guy was a freakin icon. The William Shatner Panty Shields? I always thought it was a throwaway line, but it seems to make everyone laugh.

Enjoy, Y'all.

{sigh} I've been thinking about posting about this for a while, but I've been holding off because I'm afraid I'm going to hurt some feelings here. And to all you out there to whom this applies, I just want you to know that I mean no offense. I really don't. In fact, I love you all. I just can't take it anymore.

I implore...no...I beg you to stop using the expression "There you go"

It's not just you. That's why I'm posting this. It's everywhere and it's driving me nuts. It'd be better if you just didn't respond to whatever the other person says. That's all I hear...there you go. That doesn't even mean anything!

And it's not your fault. I know whose fault it is. It's this one guy who I was never all that fond of but he hung in a circle I drank with. He started it 3 or 4 years ago and I saw it spread within this circle. I should have done something then, but I didn't so I take responsiblity. Now it's on TV, the radio...it's mind numbing.

So please...please...no more...TYG. Thank you.

I'm going to use the Lay/Skilling guilty verdict to go off on something else. But first of all, to understand what's really going on with all of this Enron stuff check out some stuff at Democracy Now.

Here is the full deal on what this verdict means.

Go here to read about the connection to Lay & Enron to the War Criminal and Family.

And the transcripts of these tapes tell you why these Enron f-ers should be tried for murder. The power outages they caused - on purpose - caused deaths in California.

But what gets me the most is Kenny Boy's reaction to the guilty verdict. Here is some of what he said:

But despite what happened today, I am still a very blessed man. I have, on my left, this beautiful lady that's my wife. I have a very warm and loving and Christian family that supports me, a lot of friends, including some out there in the audience right now. And most of all, we believe that God, in fact, is in control, and indeed He does work all things for good for those who love the Lord. And we love our Lord, and ultimately all of these things will work for good.

Uh...while I'm a confirmed Agnostic, I really...desperately hope there is a god. I want all these bastards who do things in the name of the lord to get judged. Seriously...Lay, the War Criminal, Mama Bush, Pat Robertson...all those f-ers. I actually wonder if they're all secretly Atheists...

Unfortunately, I don't have faith that they'll get theirs.

I'm going to use the Enron / Ken Lay verdict as a backdrop to different point, but first, everything you need to know about the whole situation can be seen or read at Democracy Now.

Here you can read about how Lay & Skilling
weren't even tried on what they should have been tried for.

This shows you how all this is connected to the War Criminal & Family. What a shock.

And here are tapes of Enron workers conspiring to create power outages in California to drive up prices. These fuckers should be tried for murder as the power outages caused some deaths.

But here's where I'm going with all this. You have to see / hear Ken Lay's reaction to being found guilty. Here's part of what he said:

But despite what happened today, I am still a very blessed man. I have, on my left, this beautiful lady that's my wife. I have a very warm and loving and Christian family that supports me, a lot of friends, including some out there in the audience right now. And most of all, we believe that God, in fact, is in control, and indeed He does work all things for good for those who love the Lord. And we love our Lord, and ultimately all of these things will work for good.

Um...OK...God? You're seriously bringing God into this. OK. I'm a devout Agnostic. I just don't see the evidence that a God exists. I'd like there to be a God, but I don't have it on faith. But it's crap that like this that make me pray that there is a God. Because I want f-ers like this to go up to the gates & be judged. I seriously do. I want Ken Lay & the War Criminal and all these people who make decisions that knowingly screw people - and in the name of God - and be judged. I'm not going to fake faith just because I want these people to get theirs, but lorrrrdy, I hope they are judged in the end.

Bastard.

Military Man, Michaeal Hayden was confirmed as CIA Chief by the US Senate. The vote was disgustingly in favor. This is the guy who ordered the spying on millions of innocent Amercians by creating a database of our phone records. This had nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with facism.

Here are the Democrats who voted FOR this facist:

Akaka (D-HI)
Baucus (D-MT)
Biden (D-DE)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Byrd (D-WV)
Carper (D-DE)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Johnson (D-SD)
Kohl (D-WI)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Leahy (D-VT)
Levin (D-MI)
Lieberman (D-CT)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Mikulski (D-MD)
Murray (D-WA)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Pryor (D-AR)
Reed (D-RI)
Reid (D-NV)
Sarbanes (D-MD)
Schumer (D-NY)
Stabenow (D-MI)

Very nice. I'll give credit where it's due...Clintonbagger voted Nay. Though I'm still voting for Howie Hawkins. You should be throwing money his way, too.

If you vote for this guy, what does that say you stand for? What is the possible reason to vote for this guy if you're paying attention in the least. They're Democratic Senators! They're supposed to know what's going on and they vote for someone who spies on Americans? Hooray, Democrats!

I had all day to sleep and woke up after 5 hours. Couldn't go back to sleep so I ended up alphabetizing my CD's. Now you may think that's anal, but the truth is I may be over 4 digits in how many I have. When you're in the mood to listen to something specific it's hard to find the CD within a lifetime if they're not in some kind of order. Anyway, it took me a few hours (which may end up being for naught as I probably have to move again soon...another story for another time). As I was doing this I realized just how many CD's I've let people borrow. It's not that big of a deal, but it always seems that the ones I really like I never get back.

For example, I sure hope Oscar Peterson has a good deal with his record label. I've bought Oscar Peterson Live four times...it looks like I'll be going for number five soon.

Oh well, you can't take it with you. I hope all you people who have my stuff are enjoying it.

Hey Sparky! Tell ya what. Immigrants will learn English as soon as you do. War Criminal Dickhead.

I couldn't be a journalist. I just couldn't do it...especially if I were covering politicians. I would have no patience for these suckholes who don't answer a question. It's one thing to say something like "I can't comment on that." But for j-offs who ramble on purpose and don't even come close to answering...I wouldn't get called on much in the White House Press Room. And this isn't just for The War Criminal, it would be for any of those losers.

Oh yeah. Speaking of losers. Check out a couple of blog postings on Clintonbagger:

Is She Nuts?
Ooops, I guess Clinton DID say those amazingly stupid things

If you support this...this...insert metaphor here...for Senator, President or Dogcatcher - you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

This is why Democrats suck: Pelosi Capitulates on Impeachment. I'm not going to expound on this. It's just another example of how morally corrupt the leadership of this party is.

This is (another reason) why Republicans suck: The argument that the phone databank of millions of Americans is necessary, because we're fighting terrorism and then evoking 9/11. Uh, Sparky, we knew 9/11 was coming. We had the intelligence, but the War Crimnal and friends chose to ignore it. It's all bullshit. Go to the warning signs of fascism.

I guess I spoke too soon. I know I just finished saying that I'm bored with complaining about politicians...but I gotta give credit where it's due. They seem to know how to push the right button to get me going again. In a way, this isn't really a politician thing as one involved the War Criminals newest Press Liar, Tony Snow, who still is just a Fox schill.

You gotta see this video of his first Lying Conference. (wmv courtesy of Crooks & Liars) Tar Babies! Freaking Tar Babies! Who the fuck uses the expression "Tar Babies"?!?!!? Are you kidding me?

And if that's not racist enough, Fox Tool, John Gibson, said that white folks have to start making babies before the spics take over. Check out Stephen Colbert's take. (wmv from C&L)

In-fucking-credulous. It's like the Klan has taken over.

I've lost the will to post complaining about politicians. It's a joke that just not funny anymore. At every level of government - it's just so misguided and misdirected. Yes, the War Criminal's administration is without question the most corrupt and incompetent in our history. And the amount of lefty-pundit excuses for the democrats is getting a bit sad for me. It really is at the point now that The War Criminal is picking exactly the wrong person for each position. This CIA dude doesn't even know the 4th Amendment! I just need a vacation...to a far, far away country....maybe one that doesn't have electricity.

I lost all the bookmarks in my browser. I don't know how that one happened. Anyway, if you think I may have been a regular visitor to your site/blog, send the address along to me here. Even if I wasn't before, if you're site is weird enough, I may stay with it.

I haven't had the will to post anything lately...it's all felt like the same stuff just with different names. If you're new then go check out the archives...it's the same stuff but with different names (see).

But I did "stumble" onto this. It made me giggle...but that could be the Ripple.

Oh Lord Have Mercy...it's a suck-up documentary about Al Gore

OK...you gotta be hearing for this one - but you can make up your own blues song. I got hooked.

I just finished a great book...one I highly recommend. It's called What's my Name, Fool? Sports and Resistance in the United States by Dave Zirin.

If you're a sports fan, it's cool. If you're a progressive it's cool. If you're a progressive sports fan it's doubly cool. There's stuff on Muhammed Ali, the 1968 Olympics, Billie Jean King, Carlos Delgado and even Barry Bonds. It made me re-think about Barry Bonds. I still think he's a jerk, but...

What's My Name, Fool?

A quick read & provocative.

I know...I know...it's an obsession. But it beats watching American Idol.

Check out David Sirota: Despite Hostile Takeover, Not Willing to Let Go.

THEN, take a gander at I'm Tired of Bushes and Clintons.

After that, you may ask, "So then what?" Well, if Paul Waldman is right, then the progressive group that already has an identity, a vision, a goal would be the Green Party. I'm just saying.

This is one of those times I get stuck between being a hip, progressive and a closed-minded reactionary. I know...two extremes, but bear with me for a minute.

I'm not going to go into the details of my relationship with this person. Let's just say a friend of mine recently sent me an e-mail announcing the birth of her baby. To be honest, the person lives in another city and we haven't really corresponded in a while. I didn't know she was pregnant. In fact, I thought she was divorced - but I guess she got back together with the dude.

So the announcement included a link to an online company where people post pictures. So I thought I'd check out the cute pictures of the little baby. Turns out the pictures included the actual birthing. Not what I was expecting!

So should I be ooged out by this or should I be celebrating the gift of life? I think it was maybe the surprise of it - most people don't send pictures of that stuff to others.

I do have a few contradictions like this. I'm probably one of the most sexually open people I know, yet am hideously repressed when it comes to relationships. And let's not get into my treehugger/meat-eating dilema. I guess that's what makes humans interesting - and a big pain in the ass.

All I know is that I'm gonna have bad dreams tonight.

Just a few quick musings...

*Everyone's had this happen to them - a friend says something to you that's really cold-blooded. Just downright mean. But it's so damn funny that you can't do anything but laugh. For example:

Whitee: "Today, I had a woman say something to me that's never been said to me before..."

Cheese: " 'Hello'?"

That's messed up. But it was funny and the delivery was dead on. Makes me laugh. (the answer is below)

*Speaking of laughing, Wedensday's Democracy Now played the whole Stephen Colbert Speech. Still makes me laugh. The more I hear it, the more I realize that this guy has some serious stones.

*The Senate backed off that $100 rebate idea. Bummer. I was really looking forward to the Rebates for Progressives campaign.

*OK, the thing that woman said to me was "your credit's good." I guess a man's never said it to me before either. I guess subliminally it's just acknowledging the fact that someone of the opposite sex spoke to me - even if it was just business.
