I'll admit it...I've become a Randi Rhodes fan. Since I've heard her interview on Vin Scelsa's Idiot's Delight I've been a fan. BUT, I gotta say that I disagree with her excuse for Democrats over the last 4 or so years - that they're the minority in Congress. I'm not disputing that they are - that's a fact. But they've rolled over. They haven't fought, in fact they've gone WITH the War Criminal in many instances.

So how has that worked out? If Dems fought every step of the way, would things be different? Probably not much, but it's an issue of integrity. Russ Feingold in the Senate, John Conyers in the House. Barbara Boxer stood up for a few months, but she's since disappeared. Don't even get me going on the Douchebag (Kerry for those who don't remember). Teddy? He freakin pushed No Child Left Untested.

I'm sorry. It's an excuse. Because Republicans had the majority is no excuse. Dems should have been in the protests. They should have filibustered over and over and over again. Look. This is an issue of people dying. Americans and others. Knowing now what we know about all the Bush family connections - REAL PATRIOTS would do everything possible to get to the bottom of this. They would embarrass the people in power to answer questions. They would be pushing the media to investigate.

And don't even get me started on Clintonbagger.

Are they Patriots? No. They're not. And the 3 regular readers here know that I'm a humanist. I really don't give a crap about patriotism. But there's never been a real humanist in our government. OK, that may not be true, but I don't know of one.
