What's it going to take for you to do more? Or for some, to do anything. At every level of government or society. I'm not playing Chicken Little, I'm not crying that it's the end of the world here, but the hypocracy, laziness and hate that is the order of the day...at what point will it make you (and me) do more?

Sure, I post little things on this little blog - and I'm sure somewhere in Washington there's a "file" on it. But I physically could be in the streets. I don't have a family that's dependent on me. Sure, you'll never vote for those who are responsible, but will you vote for real people of change? Will you give to their campaigns? Help get them on the ballot? Will you stop buying products because they're cheap or convenient?

Will you start paying attention to your Town Board/City Council? Do you have time? Are people counting on you being too busy? What's involved enough?

At what point are you willing to say out loud - hell - even to yourself that your country is fucked? If you're Jewish, that Israel needs to get it's shit together. If you're a cop that you have an added responsiblity to treat "the masses" with respect and dignity, even when they don't treat you that way. Will you call someone on their boorish behavior? You have a bumper sticker, isn't that enough? Is it?

I don't know. I'm just getting overwhelmed by the pervasiveness of the perversity. How about this...each week, do ONE thing more to make the world better. Make ONE trip to the Co-op to buy stuff for dinner, check out ONE candidate whose ideals you really agree with and, no matter what party, throw her $25. Write one letter to the editor - even if it's only one paragraph. Just do ONE thing more each week.
