Good blogs aren't supposed to just reiterate stuff that everyone else is saying...but I just can't help this. I think it's because I'm really astounded by the...ummmm...I can't decide if it's cluelessness or indifference, but I'm amazed how every single thing that comes out of the mouth of anyone connected to The War Criminal cannot be trusted. If Tony Snow said that the sky was blue, I'd have to doubt it. It's to the point that when I see any statement or report from
any government agency I don't believe it's validity or accuracy. This is because they have chipped away at every department, made every agency even more impotent than they already were.
Yes, we can go to the strategy of screwing up the government so badly that people will be calling for it's downsizing to "drown it in a bathtub". But damn, people are losing their lives because of it. I guess we shouldn't be that startled by it. So-called leaders have been sacrificing their people for thousands of years.
I guess no matter how much we grow up and become savy to their wily ways, we still have that indoctrination we went through as schoolchildren. How the US could do no wrong, George Washington couldn't tell a lie, blah, blah, blah. Some folks just take that black & white thinking and apply it in other ways as adults...thus you have people who believe everything O'Liar & Fibaugh say and spew it back or even Greens who pray at the altar of Nader.
Most of the so-called progressives in the system just use it when they need it, but can go to the center at a moment's notice. That's not nuance, that's opportunity.
I just can't wait for Tuesday to be over with so we can get on to the next shovel of bullshit.
