Alright. Everyone take a step back and breathe. There ain't going to be no draft happening.
Charlie Rangel brought it up. Nice job of getting the pub, Chuck. It's not going to happen. Politicians are too concerned with their own re-election to try it and the warmongers know that if there's a draft instituted, there will be protests ala Vietnam whenever they force kids to die for shitty reasons.
A progressive friend thought it would be a good idea because it would then force the rich(er) white suburban kids to get out there and die for their country. Eh, the ones who really should be out there - like the kids of politicians & CEO's - will never make it to battle, if in the military at all.
It's always been that way. Another instance of people not knowing their history.

Not needing a military is not going to happen for a very, very long time. Oh, it won't happen at all if we keep allowing to happen what happens. We keep doing the same shit over and over.
