This is actually an old story and maybe it was blogged on back in 2005, but the article was just reprinted in the latest Utne Reader magazine. It seems that retards are down with Huey Lewis. Oh sure, the easy response is: aaaand????

But I guess Huey is doubly blessed...he's got a massive crank and the adoring love of our retarded population.

Now...before you get ready to start e-mailing me about using the word "retard", that was the word used in the article...the developmentally disabled "taking back" their word. And if you don't believe me, listen to the opening cut of Marc Maron's Tickets Still Available.

I guess I don't really have a point here...I just wanted to tell the world that retards like Huey Lewis. When you were in the 80's telling folks that, you had no idea it was really true.


Oh alright...one quick political thing...I saw some anonymous quote from a Democratic congressperson...I can't find it, but it had something like, they've had 6 months of subpoena power and every tree they've shaken has had a cat in it - what's going to happen with 6 more months of subpoenas...something like that. OK...great...hearings...heads need to roll. People need to go to jail. Families need to be broken up. I'm serious. These bastards - and wannabe bastards - need to know that they will pay for shenanigans. There must be consequences or it's all for naught. Even Huey Lewis realizes this.
