- I read several online comics. Most of which I have posted links to on the index page of this site. The pages typically consist of the comic in question, and more often than not it also has a few words from the artist. Those were usually ignored by me. This may be about to change. I frequently read the rantings of the lovably depraved pair at Penny Arcade but ignore most of the others. Today I had a whim to read the post on Shaw Island where the following exerpt comes from and decided to make it a regular part of my daily reading.
The Mariners took the Tigers deep, and I messed up my voice cheering for John and Edgar. It was Edgar Rubber Duck night (only the kids got 'em) and it was easily one of the strangest nights I've ever spent at Safeco Field. You know that noise a rubber duck makes when you squeeze it and the air comes out the little hole in the bottom? Imagine several thousand of those things going off at any given moment. It was a sea of wheezing ducks. If you were being attacked by a thousand stuffed animals, that would be the noise you would hear before the maw swallowed you whole.

- Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very fuzzy was he? Now... Imagine some G-Money (you know, the guys who are fond of saying I'z goin to da hizzy, my nizzy) trying to say that one.

- I blew my engine some time last week. That'll make the third engine I've put in my poor car. I go through engines like underware. Now I just have to figure out how to come up with the money for it. I'm hungry. I want a taco.

- Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... I have a house now! Adrienne and I moved into the top floor of an old house in the north Knoxville area. The place is so old that the wall plugs are of a design I've never seen before. Looks like a pair of T's. Oh, and my hair is blue again. Weeee!!!

- Getting another house. This should be interesting. Well, most of a house. The entire upper half of a house anyway. Neat looking house. You should see it. It's great. I've been riding on a cloud all day today. Things are falling into place quite nicely. I worried my ass off all day yesterday and today things seem to be ok after I figured out a couple of things I can do. No surprise is that I'm working my ass off. At least 11 hours a day whenever I can. That's nothing compared to what Zak regularly does, but I don't have the grim determination that he does either. I used to do that too at one point and it led to serious burn-out. I refuse to do that again. Still, 11 hours or so a day will suit my needs quite well for now. I still owe Patrick $260 and I've felt awful about that for months now. Oh yeah, I think my mom also wants some money too. Apparently I've owed her about fifty bucks for three years now and I could have sworn I had her paid off a long long time ago. Oh well, even if I don't owe her any money I think I can afford to give fifty bucks to the woman responsible for cursing the world with my presence so many years ago. =) She needs money almost as bad as Patrick. If I can stop spending money on Adrienne all the time (Gasp! I know, I know, I'm spending money on a woman. How unlike me.) I should be doing ok again. I tried to buy some more books for myself this past weekend. I found about 6 Tom Clancey books at a Goodwill and snatched them up. I tried to buy them but Adrienne's mom waylaid me and bought them for me instead. I can't complain. I spent the money on milk shakes instead. Mmmmm... Milk shakes. (drool)

- Well, this has been a -very- strange weekend. Adrienne and I are finally back together. In fact, we're getting a house together somewhere. Not quite sure where just yet. Options of Atlanta, New Orleans, Memphis, and many other places have been discussed at length. Nothing final just yet. Wish us luck. One of the things I like about her is that she's just as posessive and jealous as I am when it comes to people flirting with us. Traci called me the other day while Adrienne was cooking us tacos and the aftermath was quite bloody. =) I'm glad she loves me enough to threaten violence. It's always a heart warming feeling when your lover is willing to slaughter entire nations in a jealous rage to keep you all to themself.

- GO READ PENNY ARCADE RIGHT NOW! If they've already taken down their posts from July 4th, then go back a day or so and read the news. I haven't laughed so hard in weeks and I haven't even gotten to the comic yet. Granted, it starts off slow but -really- picks up.
