- Well, it has been an eventful week but I am really too tired to try to remember much about it. I am practically finished moving. I like my new place. It has some problems (mainly that it is ancient and it has more phone jacks than power outlets) because the place is so old but that is to be expected. What was not to be expected were all the problems that have popped up in the first two weeks of living there already. We accidentally started to strip a wall of 70 years of wallpaper after half of it came off when trying to remove a strip of masking tape we put up while repainting. We didn't even know that there were generations of wallpaper under there deteriorating until it came off in our hands. Most of them looked disgusting and it was readily apparent to anyone seeing the different patterns of wallpaper how old they were. Hell, one of them was a wallpaper with pirates fighting and pirate ships! That was the best one. =D Alas, we had to pull down as much as we could and wound up pulling down half the wall with it. They don't make drywall like they used to. Or maybe they do. I can't fault it for lasting THIS long. After I get a butt-load of spackle and redo the wall, we'll repaint the fucker again and hopefully it'll go smoother this time. We left the other wall alone. Hopefully we won't break it too. Oh! While I'm not on the subject, let me just mention three things. Firstly, I have been playing Star Wars Galaxies as much as I can get away with and loving it. While I read about it at work I found a GREAT article where people started arguing about good and evil in the SW universe. It gets pretty mean after mentioning Hitler, Mao, and other notables. There are some REALLY good points brought up (including how the ewoks are now extinct after the destruction of the second death star must have caused a nuclear winter for the planet which killed all life on that silly little moon of Endor) so if you are up to reading how the Empire is the right faction to be on, STOP TELEMARKETERS!
