God bless David Brown. I believe he is the second coming. Who else but the son of God could do what he does? He's amazing.
Who is David Brown, you ask? (Well, I know that some of you know, but others may ask.) Why, ye stinky infidels, if you would listen to the ads for the Channel 7 News, David Brown is the weatherman who came up with the idea of the seven day forecast. Yes, that's right, he CAME UP WITH THE IDEA. All hail David Brown!
I think in years to come, Mel Gibson will make a movie, completely spoken in Australianaic of course (the Americans will be needing subtitles), about David Brown. The Passion of the Weatherman... or maybe The Passion of the Browny... either way, it's going to be great! And incredibly violent. The world of the weatherman is a dangerous one.
He came up with the idea... wow. Somebody else had to implement it, of course, but it was his idea! I can almost picture the meeting where the idea came to fruition. "Hey, um, guys... I've been thinking... why don't we forecast for the next week instead of the next three days." Brilliant!
If only he'd use his incredible power of thought for other pressing issues like; "Hey, you know what? I reckon we should have world peace" or maybe; "Since it's going to be hot tomorrow, free ice cream for everyone!" or even; "Well, I think, from now on, we should start CORRECTLY predicting the weather". Of course, it's up to other people to implement those thoughts, but he thought of them!
But they really don't need a 7 day forecast do draw peoples attention. All they really need is a fat, dancing, purple hippo. Don't we all?
Who's up for voting the fat, dancing, purple hippo the crappiest/most annoying advertising device ever? I think the hippo is actually Sarah Marie trying to revive her 'career' in the form of a creepy animated animal.
