The Tangent At Hand

.......... This is the part where I pretend that you are in the room with me and I'm just talking out loud. Free flow thought. Rambling. Ranting. Tangenting on my own tangents. Y'know, stuff. I may update this page as seldom as several days at a time, or twenty times a night depending on how wired or bored I am at work. You get the really good quality tangents when I'm hyped up on supercaff. In fact, I think I'll go get some right now. That'll force the creative juices for sure!
.......... Beware! The author of this page does not condone the use of conservative thought, antidisestablishmentarian ideals, Marxist economics, or anything Ford makes. Read the following drivel at your own risk of understanding me.

It is MINE! (see below) Insurance isn't as rough as I first thought. A sure sign that I'm getting old. Even with just two speeding tickets still on my record right now. Drives great. Reverse is interesting to get into. I'm still getting used to the 6 speed transmittion. I'm having flashbacks to my last Celica. I find myself doing 90 before I realize it. 60 in second gear, all that jazz. The shift knob is very short throw and I find myself pulling out from stop signs in 3rd quite a bit. I'm very pleased that it can do it too. =D

It has come to my attention that the little red car I've been driving has expired tags. Apparently they have been expired since March. That's longer than I've been driving it. The Rodeo has too many problems to list and the Tercel has quite a few as well. The brakes need new pads, the radiator valve seems to be stuck open (heater won't work until like 45 minutes after driving around as a result), she burns oil, leaks oil from the headgasket, doesn't seem to be firing all the cylinders, and the clutch doesn't work. Yet in spite of all these problems it is still better for driving than the Rodeo. It just means I can't do touch and go driving like in drive-thrus and it often stalls. I've been trying to replace the engine and tires on my Celica for over a year now with no luck. On Sunday we woke up and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast (part of why I can't save money) and decided to kill some time by walking around Carmax. I was contemplating just getting a whole new car. I figured I would find a five year old Corolla or something. I was wrong. Instead, after talking to the guy who greeted us for a while, they had a Celica in the back that just screamed perfect for me. 2001 Celica GT-S, silver, manual, power everything, black interior (may or may not have been leather, I don't recall), and did I mention it was silver? I dunno what it is, but I've been in love with all things silver and all my cars have been silver. My RX-7 was silver with black interior. My Cutlas was silver with grey interior, my Corolla was silver with grey interior, my Celica is silver with black interior and now I may get another one, only newer. More powerful. =) Lemme see if I can dig up a pic of one... Ok, found one! 6 speed transmittion, 180hp, my insurance is going to kill me. 0-60 in 7.5 (stock) places it as faster than the Mustang reviews I was reading. Naturally, I'm going to be replacing a few things in the drivetrain as money allows, but I am not going to rice it out. Do not expect me to ever have it sounding like a lawnmower.

The Llama Song. Very amusing. Very catchy. You'll find yourself singing it quite a bit, if you could only remember all the words. Sing it with pride. Get it stuck in people's heads. Just like Bananna Phone.
