 Boye Plastic Shuttles. Nothing too exciting here, a usable shuttle, but a bit large to go very fast, and the spike is not as
pointed at the tip as I like it (I'm talking thinness, not sharpness). Still, it's a pretty good shuttle to use with pearl cotton, since it is a little on the large size! It
is 2-3/4" (without the spike) by 13/16". The spike is a bit longer than some, and it is more flat than curved. It is a full 1/2 inch
spike.I think it may be a good shuttle to learn with, and I think it was a comfortable shuttle for with which my boyfriend to give tatting a try (sorry about the clumsy attempt to avoid ending that sentence with a preposition! I'm obsessive when it comes to tatting and grammar!). I don't think it's so much the hand length, because I have pretty long hands, but it has more body to it, and is easy to grapple! | |
