 Wooden Shuttle with Pansy Design, by Georgia Seitz Isn't this shuttle beautiful? Of course I am partial to
pansies and the smaller Johnny Jump Up (see my tatted Johnny Jump Up) It is made of wood, painted white, with the
pansy design applied to it, and I assume it is shellaced in some way to keep it nice.Georgia Seitz makes several designs of shuttles, floral, victorian, and Origami shuttles. I have some on order! She also makes shuttles appropriate for Copper wire tatting - the tips are open a bit to allow for wrapping thewire. Her shuttles are sought after, so there sometimes is a waiting list, but they are worth it. Some suppliers carry her shuttles in stock, so if you can't wait, you can obtain one through Nordic Needle. They are not sold online, you must ask for their catalog.  The tips on this shuttle were quite tight, so I took some sandpaper and sanded them a tiny bit, so that thread could pass through without fraying. I contacted Georgia about this, and she said I could also use an emory board, but NOT a metal file. As you can see, it did not detract from the appearance of the shuttle. Shuttles by Georgia Seitz
