Tatra Sutra: Click to go HOME

Clover Plastic ShuttlesClover Plastic Shuttles - these are almost identical to the Susan Bates plastic, but I think that if someone blindfolded me and handed one or the other to me, I would be able to distinguish them. But close enough! I think the spike is sharper, and maybe just a tad bit more curved. And you've got to love the colors!! I have the neons and the tortoiseshell colored, and a blue and a red one. The "neons" and the "pastels" are the same thing.

Again, these shuttles are a great shape, for my hand at least, and they are lightweight and have a spike for joins. I've used this type for thicker threads, size 5 pearl cotton, as well as size 80 thread as you can see here. They are 2 1/14" (without the spike) by 5/8".

Obviously they do not have a bobbin, rather they are wound around the center post. For me they are the easiest of this type to wind, the thread just flies through, as fast as if I were winding a bobbin. And the click of these tips drives me wild! I wish I could wind it in the shower, where the acoustics are good!
