Pony from India. This is just like the Aero type shuttle. Well, that is to say that it
shares a lot of the design ideas, and it looks a lot like the Aero. The differences are that it is yellow, and the bobbin doesn't spin on
the racheting mechanisms as well as the Aero. But it is so bright and cheerful, you can't help but like it. Plus it makes me think of
India - how many things do you have that have been imported from that intriguing country? My dream is to do Pam Palmer's Festival Elephant with a Pony Shuttle. It just seems appropriate! Unless of course it's an African elephant. I'd better go check the ear size. But I digress. As you can see, this shuttle uses a bobbin and it has a built in crochet hook - what is nice about it is that it is actually rounded like a real crochet hook, not a 2-dimensional flat hook like on the Boye and Susan Bates Metal shuttles. As I said, the bobbin doesn't spin as neatly as the Aero, and also note that the Aero bobbins and Pony Bobbins are not interchangeable (at least on the shuttles I bought) | |
