This shuttle caught my eye because it reminds me of a key chain I had when I was little, with a similar inlaid pattern. It just makes me want to rub the pattern over and over, but I don't want to wear off the finish, so I refrain!!

I bought this beautiful wood shuttle at the eBay website. It is made by Spirit Wind. You can buy their shuttles from their website, but they make special shuttles like this one, inlaid with other woods or materials like shell, and sell them on eBay.

Chen Chen is a wood from the Indo Malayan region and tropical Africa. It is a from a large tree, reaching heights of over 100 feet and trunk diameters of 24 to 60 inches on average, but can be as large as 13 feet in diameter. The wood is almost pure yellow. The inlay strips come from a variety of woods, mostly domestic.

The shuttle measures appr. 2-3/4 in. long by 1-1/8 in. wide. It is a little too wide for me to tat comfortable, but thems is the breaks.
