is a rich deep brown.I ordered various sizes when I ordered my first shuttles from David, so I could find what I liked. I had a feeling I would like this best. It is 2 1/2 inches long, not including the spike. The spike is brass and is perfect for making joins. It is very similar to my Karen Bovard Sterling Silver in shape.
