Martin's Buddies

• His friend who found him on the bathroom floor at his apartment. It was this that led Marty to move in with Frasier. (Ep 1).
• Mo Hanson, who was killed in a boating accident (Ep 3).
• Hank Krinski, who had 3 heart bypasses (Ep 3).
• Jimmy Berman who died from a "weird disease" that turned his skin yellow (Ep 3).
• Harry the cop who broke up the fight between Frasier and Derek Mann. He was doing a favour for Martin. (Ep 4).
• Doris, the operator who laughed when Frasier asked for the "Fine Arts Forgery Department". Martin suggested Frasier make the call to give him a "bite of reality sandwich". (Ep 6).
• The 7 or 8 cops whom Martin was on a drug raid with. The first one entering the building got shot (Ep 11).
• Joe Linski, who runs the Widows & Orphans Fund (Ep 14).
• Frank (Ron Dean), one of Martin's police chums (first appearance Ep 15).
• Linda and Jimmy, two of Martin's other friends (Ep 15).
• Fletcher Grey (John McMartin), the newsman who remembers Martin from a murder case in 1968 (Ep 18).
• Mitch Gossit, who was Martin's first partner. They had an argument and Gossie was stabbed before Martin could make it up with him. Or so he says - he confesses to Daphne that he just made up the story to make his sons decide to make up (Ep 22).
• The squad psychiatrist known only as "The Squirrel"; Nick, who discussed bowel movements and "Canteen" McHugh, whose bladder was apparently the size of a canteen….. (Ep 26).
• Leo (Bill Gratton) (first appearance Ep 29).
• Duke (John LaMotta) (first appearance Ep 29).
• Mickey Dougan, who played a part in Martin's bad joke about bringing his police horse into Duke's (Ep 29).
• A buddy from Customs who bought Martin some confiscated Cuban cigars (Ep 32).
• Artie Walshe (Lincoln Kilpatrick), Martin's old partner. They had an argument and fell out (it was something about Martin watching a sad movie at Duke's) (Ep 34).
• His friends who come to the apartment to celebrate him solving the "Weeping Lotus" case (Ep 37).
• Charlie, who is keeping an eye out for Frasier's BMW (Ep 38).
• Duke's cousin Louie, who makes you "laugh so hard, the beer comes out your nose". Also the guys who once replaced Martin's bulletproof vest with a bra (Ep 52).
• Mike, who helps Martin track down Maris (Ep 56).
• Murray Dingman, an old army friend who Martin is writing to. Niles is watching him do this, correcting his grammar at the same time (Ep 58).
• Jimmy, whose birthday is February 29^th (so he's either 16 or 64 depending which way you look at it). Martin is going to his party, where they have a "best scar" competition. Martin thinks he can win now that Shark Bait O'Reilly has died (Ep 64).
• His friend who has a pirate ariel and therefore picks up pay-per-view. Martin is watching a tape of this (Ep 67).
• Charlie, who identifies Maureen Cutler for Frasier (Ep 68).
• Old army pal Hank "Bud" Farrell, who gets his nickname because he likes drinking Budweiser. There is also Stinky, Wolf-Man, Boom Boom and Jim. Jim's real name is not Jim but he is called Jim because he drinks a copious amount of a certain brand of whisky….. (Ep 73).
• The two guys from the precinct who, together with Duke, see Martin walking Eddie, who is wearing one of Mrs Foster's woollen dog coats (Ep 93).
• Ed Flanagan, someone who Martin has no idea who he is, who bought everyone a drink when Duke took Martin out for his birthday (Ep 97).
• Jimmy, one of Martin's "poker pals" (though not the Jimmy from Ep 15). (Ep 105)
• His friends before he joined the army who, together with Martin, would arrange parties - for single people only. They were known as "Marty Parties" (Ep 117).
• The guys down the precinct who have "seized property auctions". Martin says the drug dealers bring in a lot of stuff!!! (Ep 121).
• Fred (Wendell W. Wright), the sergeant at the station. (Ep 130).
• Captain Pachesky, whose son turned out to be the Coleman Park Pervert. (Ep 130).
• Sergeant O'Brian, whose daughter stars in erotic cable movies. (Ep 130).
• Mel, one of his poker buddies (Ep 136)
• Jimmy, another poker buddy, who postponed his daughter's wedding so that he could attend the traditional poker night. (Ep 136)
• Charlie Drucker, whom Martin made a joke about his chest. The joke then continued with a word similar to his last name….. (Ep 139)
• Hank, the security guard who works at Weston's jewellery store (Ep 141).
• The guys he and his friends played pranks on in the force. These pranks included filling a guy's hat with shaving cream, nailing a guy's shoes to the floor or getting a guy dead drunk and leaving him in a draw in the morgue. (Ep 145).
• His friend Stan Wardgedobekowski, whose funeral Martin attends (Ep 147). We meet Stan's widow in Ep 159 "Whine Club".
• Jimmy and the guys at McGinty's who are giving him free beers as his son has "died". (Ep 150).
• An "old buddy in the fire department". He told him that that so many people in one place (the upstairs party) had to be a code violation. This was to get people to Frasier's party. (Ep 153).
• Sid, who he told of the stakeout he was doing for Donny. (Ep 160).
• The guys at McGinty's who are nudging each other about Martin's glasses. (Ep 161)
• The guys down the precinct who told him a joke about lawyers (Ep 170)
• Stas, who leaves a message of congratulations to Niles on the answering machine. Duke and Frank also do this. (Ep 179)
• His lieutenant in Korea, Lt Franks. Martin idolised him, until one day when he found out Lt Franks was working at a fast-food store. Martin realised that Lt Franks was still the same person, something he says Frasier should realise about Tewkesbury. (Ep 184)
• Roger, a guy at the park whose dog Macduff is having a birthday party. Martin and Eddie haven't been invited, but as it turns out their invite was lost in the post. (Ep 185)
• His friends who are taking him out to dinner to celebrate his new job, but they have to cancel due to one working. Frank in this episode may be the younger version of the Frank, played by Ron Dean, who appeared in Ep 15 "Can't Tell A Crook By His Cover". (Ep 191)
• One of his cop buddies (Marcus Folmar) who pulls Niles over. Martin says he'll get Niles off the hook if Niles writes Martin a prescription. Afterwards, Martin says it was all a set up, but Niles has the last laugh - he didn't write a prescription, he'd drawn a picture of a dog! (Ep 196)
• Rich Kechner (M Emmett Walsh) who he gets friendly with towards the end of the episode. (Ep 197).
• Peg (Lindsay Crouse), a security guard he thinks he may love. (Ep 200)
• The guys from work who realised Frasier was telling caller Jeremy about Niles on the radio. (Ep 207) 
• The guys who came over for a poker game the night before. (Ep 217)
• Jimmy Daily, who asked Martin to do the Christmas shift. (Ep 220)
• Officer Chirpy and Sgt Bob, a policeman and his parrot who did safety talks to schools. Martin then says however that "Dick Chirpy was one of the finest officers" he ever served with. :-) (Ep 229)

• His supervisor (Steve Susskind) who wants him to date his sister. Martin refuses and as such is put on the late shifts... (Ep 231)
• The guys down at the station who are trying to get the whole story about Maris, and his buddies who let him fire rounds into a dumpster whilst he and Niles were down the station. (Ep 242)
