The Tangent At Hand

.......... This is the part where I pretend that you are in the room with me and I'm just talking out loud. Free flow thought. Rambling. Ranting. Tangenting on my own tangents. Y'know, stuff. I may update this page as seldom as several days at a time, or twenty times a night depending on how wired or bored I am at work. You get the really good quality tangents when I'm hyped up on supercaff. In fact, I think I'll go get some right now. That'll force the creative juices for sure!
.......... Beware! The author of this page does not condone the use of conservative thought, antidisestablishmentarian ideals, Marxist economics, or anything Ford makes. Read the following drivel at your own risk of understanding me.

No, this isn't a post about the Sentry Gun. I'm sure Rhys has it on his blog since he's the one who showed it to me. Within hours it has shown up on almost every Airsoft site imaginable (I put it on two of them) as well as FARK and Slashdot. By that afternoon, the site was getting 15 hits per second.

Anyway...

I'm starting to get a little concerned by the Discovery channel. I used to like watching it when there was nothing on the comedy channel, too early for Adult Swim, the bad sci-fi on the sci-fi channel was too bad to watch, or I was out of pr0n to watch. It was great. I remember spending many a night in Oz watching it with Patrick, Lucas, Zak, and some beers. Modern Marvels was our first favorite. Watching a car drive on the ceiling of a tunnel was great. As time went on, their list of shows strayed further and further from science. I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE watching Beyond 2000 (back in the 90s) where they showcased all the emerging technology. It was like watching a show done by Popular Science or Popular Mechanics (both of which are excellent magazines!!!). The success of Mythbusters really got our attention. We watched it all the time. Then came Monster Garage. Then OCC. Then Monster House. Then Big came out. Then some other shows. Monster this that or another. This seemed like a radical shift in their programming lineup. Half the shows on there now are a mix of the speed network and the outdoor channel. I still like Modern Marvels and Mythbusters. I was flipping through the channels a few days ago and when I came to the Discovery channel, they were showing wrestling. WRESTLING! I... I... I just... I... Um... Yeah.

At least I still have the History Channel.

Ok, I got bored the other day. You know what that means. That's right, my hair is bright fucking red again. A tad lighter than my target brightness, but that will be remedied.

Need a laugh? Check out Soup Sandwich. Bleeding sides funny military stories.

Sorry, I'm practicing. Getting ready for ITLAPD. It's almost time. September 19th every year. I might have to get some Captain Morgans. Preferably a Captain Morgans impersonater to hang out with and take partying with us. YAR!
